The Enrollment
Dad and Mom play a crucial role during the enrollment process because the trust and enthusiasm they can convey will allow their child to embark on this new and important experience with serenity.

To address the enrollment, the educational team relies on the principles of the Attachment Theory methodology by Bowlby, a theory according to which the section educators become a secure base for the child.

As we said, every child is a unique individual and therefore deserves respect and attention. The enrollment will therefore involve respectful times and ways of acknowledging this individuality. 

The Welcome
In our opinion, the welcome represents a fundamental moment for the child.

It is the moment when every morning they separate from their parents to “face” their day.

Therefore, special attention and care are given to each child during the welcome. The little ones are welcomed in a positive and reassuring atmosphere to ensure maximum serenity.

The Typical Day:

7:30 - 9:30 Welcome

9:00 - 9:30 Snack

9:30 - 10:00 Hygiene moment and nap for the little ones

10:00 - 11:30 Free and structured activities. Preparation for lunch, hygiene moment

11:30 - 12:15 Lunch

12:15 - 12:30 Free play, hygiene moment, preparation for nap

12:30   First outing

12:45 - 15:00 Nap

15:00 - 15:30 Wake-up, hygiene moment

15:30 - 17:30 Snack, play, structured activities, and outing

The Routines
Routines consist of a series of moments, of fixed patterns that repeat multiple times throughout the day in a constant and recurring manner. The repetition of fixed patterns of certain actions allows children to find themselves in known and reassuring “containers” of time and space that facilitate their first experiences of change. Children need repetition that gives them security and helps them understand the reality around them. 

The Activities
POPPY welcomes its little ones by dividing them into small groups for activities, which are designed for each age and stage of development.

For each group, a specific program aims, through all pedagogical and educational tools (games, activities, songs, rhymes, projects, workshops, special initiatives), at the full, harmonious, and balanced development of the child, their aptitudes, and their abilities.

Even the activities such as breakfast, lunch, snack, or those that are more playful and recreational are aimed, in addition to the child's joy, at their growth.

• Baby dance: musical experimentation through songs accompanied by gestures
• Dramatization workshop: animated stories and dramatizations of fairy tales with tricks, costumes, and games.
• Musical workshop: production of loud/soft sounds and noises, rhythmic experiences, approach to sound and music through movement, singing, rhymes. Children will simply build some instruments.
• Tactile workshop: sensory exploration. Tactile stimulation and free expression of imagination or creativity. (collage with beans, lentils, fabrics, caps, cardboard, cotton, smooth or rough paper)
• Color workshop: experimentation with color through painting (non-toxic colors, finger paints), markers, crayons, or wax pastels
• Language pathway in English that represents a significant chance to approach bilingualism.

Care Activities
At Poppy nursery, we take care of everything. You won't have to worry about providing us with diapers and creams for your child.

Extra Activities
To complete the offer, in addition to all the included activities, every year we propose extra activities always aimed at growth and development.
