Educating to understand less fortunate worlds, both near and far, is part of an intelligent educational process and individual and collective growth. Involving our families who wish to participate helps to form a healthy and cohesive community.

The EDUCATORIO DELLA PROVVIDENZA and POPPY BEST have organized a program focused on addressing the needs of the local community, through

• initiatives to support less fortunate families such as the Christmas Lunch and the Solidarity Room for toys, books, and clothing;
• fundraising;
• collaboration with the Summer Kids Project of the Educatorio by providing meal services.

POPPY BEST also looks at geographically distant realities of children and families in difficulty by supporting fundraising or useful material collection campaigns in designated countries.

"IN YOUR SHOES" 

How many times have we thought “If you were in my shoes… you would understand my journey”? This initiative was born on this principle, aiming to provide concrete help for athletes in developing countries.

Imagine a beautiful country, Kenya, green, with vast skies but still struggling with resource management, and imagine young people who have nothing but their dreams and run to make them come true, with passion and determination.

“In your shoes” thought of them and wanted to raise awareness among as many people as possible to allow those athletes to train and compete for their country. A large collection of running shoes has been initiated, which, if in good condition, can mean everything to someone who is far away. A simple pair of shoes can pave the way to success and change a life.

And so we, as a school community, have decided to join this solidarity initiative: our unused running shoes can make a difference and realize the sporting dream of a young athlete.

Because solidarity starts with the simplest gestures.
