The teaching/education methods are structured to use the best and most appropriate methodologies depending on the occasions and specific objectives pursued.
Each student has their own personal computer, which they use for all written assignments in various subjects.
As in Primary School, classroom lessons include more traditional teaching methods (lectures) alongside methodological approaches that support group work, autonomy, and student-teacher interaction.
There are also moments of small group work between teachers and students, sometimes one-to-one sessions, and interventions using innovative methodologies to assist students in transversal learning processes (role-playing games, flip education, peer training).
The multidisciplinary approach is true, concrete, and constant.
The programs are designed in their evolution to reinforce each other and highlight their connections.
For example, a morning dedicated to the Middle Ages may address the theme of medieval technological development (history) by describing medieval technological innovations (technology) through the creation of a synthesis from various texts (Italian) and producing a PowerPoint presentation (which will be developed in computer science).
During the year, during school hours, special activities are planned, a series of short lesson cycles or specific workshops that address particular themes/topics.
These activities are sometimes common to all classes or tailored according to age: arts, visual expression, writing techniques, relationship and concentration techniques, public speaking, photography, new technologies, law, economics.
These activities are carried out by both our teachers and external professionals and experts.
They are always high-quality projects that integrate with the educational and teaching action.
Some activities are carried out in laboratories and special classrooms:
- The Science laboratory
- The reading room/library
- The music classroom
- The equipped gyms.
The technologies and IT and multimedia tools
Each classroom is equipped with PCs and projectors, so that teachers can use digital content to enrich teaching.
The computer laboratory has printers, a 3D printer, monitors, servers…
All IT tools are used attentively. Growing digitally is essential today, but it must never preclude the many other dimensions of intellectual, emotional, and character development of students.
The School participates in Competitions, Festivals, national initiatives (Debate Championship, Mathematics Olympics, art competitions, United Nations simulations…) to enhance our students' experience.
We organize trips and outings in Turin and other cities with a focus that is not “touristic or casual” but always related to educational activities.
Stays abroad (England) are also planned.
We are a Cambridge exam center for our students who wish to obtain Language Certifications and, at the end of the three years, may eventually take exams for Boarding School abroad.
